Opportunities For Ladies

A recent meeting of the female minds has resulted in some exciting new plans!

First, The women will be gathering in the 2nd and 4th Mondays each month for a Bible Study. They will be using THIS study by Kelly Minter. Join them at the church for the first session on 11/11 at 7 p.m.

Second, different women will be organizing special events every month or so. For the first event Connie Andvik has arranged a great opportunity to learn about ministry at the New Life Center. The women are invited to the women’s auxiliary luncheon at noon in November 15. Meet at the church at 11:00 a.m. to consolidate transportation. A tour of the center is scheduled after the luncheon. A donation of a #10 can of food (the large food service cans—approx. 109 oz.) is suggested but not required.

New Pew Bibles

As I mentioned this morning, here is the little booklet that solidified my love for the ESV quite a few years ago. I made thew switch to ESV in 2001 right when it was released. My Hebrew professor in Bible school recommended it as “the best translation of Hebrew poetry yet”. Kevin DeYoung, (who wrote this little booklet) has been one of my favorite preachers since long before he wrote this little pamphlet. This is for your reading pleasure.
